About

We mix the old with the new. This entire area is built on the principle of utilizing Mother Nature’s transformation of taconite mines that were abandoned by major mining companies over 3 decades ago.

Re-grown vegetation rejuvenated the area, turning it from an abandoned mining zone into a vibrant, natural recreational area, grown with an innate respect for nature.

Now the area is home to shimmering, crystal clear lakes, acres of woodland and wildlife that soars through the sky, makes its home in the trees and lives on the fruit of the Earth. We’re proud of what the Cuyuna Lakes represents – our past, our present, and our dedication to a better future.

With twenty five miles of natural shoreline to be explored by foot, tire, boat or canoe; a home for anglers casting their lines for trout, northern bass, crappie and sunfish; and trails that span the 2,000 acres of the region: welcome to our little secret.
